| The land mass of Guatemala consists of some 45,000 sq. miles - roughly the size of Tennessee. Of this, 2.4% land mass is dedicated to growing coffee, with over 748 million coffee trees. There are 44,000 coffee farms in Guatemala, which employs 11% of the Guatemalan population. And, like so many North American natives, these farmers found great value in the new lands - in this case rich volcanic soil and altitude - the perfect growing conditions for the world’s best coffee. Along with latitude, grown at latitudes in excess of 4,500 feet, the quality of these beans is a result of a six month rainy season, a shady tropical setting, and the rich volcanic soil which is present in some of the world’s best growing regions. |
| The Guatemalan coffee is full in flavor and body with an earthiness taste to it. It is perfect anytime of day. |
